As a group of students, we were recently commissioned by the Cobb County Water System to create individual t-shirt designs for their 2023 Spring program. The theme for the year was “There’s music in water. Brooks babbling, fountains splashing.” a quote by Julie Andrews that perfectly captures the essence of the program’s mission.

Each design had to include this quote and theme, so I took the opportunity to create something that not only showcased my artistic abilities but also highlighted the importance of water and how it brings music to our lives. I came up with a design that featured a pair of headphones, which are a familiar symbol of music. The water splashing out of the headphones in the design formed musical notes, which perfectly represented the quote by Julie Andrews.
